Uh oh…

As I type this, the sounds of saws and hammers are taking over the house. My uncle is here to save the day!

Of course there is a story that leads up to this point and it goes something like this:

I got an text from Chris the other day that said (and I paraphrase)

“The bathroom pipe just disintegrated in my hand. We should call your uncle.”

Oh hell. He really wasn’t kidding either.

A few weeks ago we started noticing that the bathroom sink was draining really slow. He tried to blame it on me for doing my hair over the sink, I blamed it on him for shaving over the sink. This went on for a few days. I finally just told him to fix it, which clearly didn’t go very well.

So for the last week we have been washing our hands and brushing our teeth in the kitchen. Sounds like fun, doesn’t it? I’m such a creature of habit that I accidentally flooded the bathroom a couple times attempting to wash my hands or brush my teeth. I ended up putting a sad face sign in the sink to remind me I couldn’t use it anymore (I owe Kerry for that idea!!)

So anyway, picture updates of how my bathroom looks at the moment:

This is a picture of part of the remaining pipe. No wonder our sink wouldn’t drain!

The vanity used to be functional, now I think its just trash.

And now we have a hole in our bathroom floor.

They are still working on it, so I’ll throw up another update when I can brush my teeth in the sink again.

Also, take a minute to check out the photography section. Chris and I went walking today and I got a couple interesting shots around Charlestown.

I hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend!
